Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in Inverness, Florida. Fast-paced, recently renovated emergency department serving a high-acuity adult and geriatric population in a modern facility. Site details Annual ED volume: 45,000 visits Bed count: 28 private rooms (bariatric-capable) EMR: Cerner Patient mix: Predominantly adult/geriatric; pediatric ~6% No trauma designation; no OB/GYN services Stroke Center designation; tele-neurology implementation in progress Advanced imaging and specialty support available Strong hospitalist support for admissions and inpatient care Coverage Physician coverage: 36 hours/day APP coverage: 40 hours/day Shift schedule and duration to be coordinated with locum team Requirements ABEM or AOBEM Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain one DEA license Experience in high-volume ED preferred; comfortable managing a broad range of emergency presentations in a non-trauma adult-focused setting Locum benefits 24/7 locum consultant for credentialing and scheduling 100% travel reimbursement on top of rate Malpractice coverage with tail provided Competitive hourly rate 1099 independent contractor status EOE
