We are seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to provide ongoing outpatient clinic coverage in Corpus Christi, Texas while a permanent provider is recruited. This position operates within a value-based care model - no fee-for-service, no RVU targets, no call, and no after-hours charting. Locum tenens, locum-to-hire, and permanent placement options are available. Schedule & practice details Days: Monday-Friday Clinic hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Start: ASAP Duration: Ongoing until permanent hire Late clinics, weekends, and call: none After-hours charting: none Providers needed: 1 Setting: 100% outpatient Patient volume: ~8-16 patients/day Patient population: Adults only (employees and adult dependents) Key responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions Perform physical exams and preventive wellness visits Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs; coordinate specialty referrals Participate in quality improvement efforts and maintain accurate documentation Practice environment & technology Care model: Value-based, non-RVU driven EMR: Elation Hardware: Apple Macintosh systems across the practice No call obligations or after-hours charting required Qualifications Board-certified or truly board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine 2-3 years of clinical practice experience preferred Active Texas medical license required Prior outpatient primary care experience preferred If you are a patient-centered clinician seeking a predictable schedule and a supportive, value-based outpatient environment, this opportunity offers flexibility and potential for long-term placement.
