Join our locum tenens team providing Emergency Medicine coverage at a main hospital and a newly opened Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) in Bradenton, FL (FSED opened Summer 2024). This opportunity supports state-of-the-art facilities delivering high-quality emergency care to Manatee County and neighboring communities. Key details Start: Summer 2024 (exact date TBD); allow ~2 months for credentialing Commitment: Minimum 4-6 shifts per month Shift model: 24-hour physician coverage daily; flexible day and night shifts available Locum role will involve working alongside Emergency Medicine residents at the main hospital Facility highlights 12 fully equipped exam rooms Expected volume: >8,000 annual patient visits EMR: Meditech P-doc with M-Modal dictation Advanced onsite imaging: CT, ultrasound, radiology Seamless transfers: patients needing admission are transported to the main hospital Requirements Emergency Medicine board certified or board eligible; EM training required ATLS certification (minimum) Active Florida medical license DEA registration Willing to commit to at least 4-6 shifts monthly Location Bradenton offers year-round warm weather, white-sand Gulf Coast beaches, and a welcoming community with easy access to Tampa and Sarasota.
