A hospital in Redding, California is looking for a locum gastroenterologist to cover inpatient and emergency GI services at a 265-bed facility. You’ll provide comprehensive care for adult patients, handling a wide range of gastroenterology needs and performing the necessary procedures. ERCP experience is a plus but not required. Compensation: $3,600 per day Schedule and coverage: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) Weekend coverage required On-call responsibilities expected What you’ll do: Evaluate and manage inpatient and emergency GI patients Offer consultations and procedural support as needed Perform the full spectrum of GI procedures required by the hospital What we’re looking for: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Active California medical license ACLS certification Active DEA registration Ability to perform a broad range of GI procedures ERCP experience preferred but not mandatory If you’re comfortable working in a busy hospital setting and providing both consultative and hands-on procedural care, this role could be a great fit.
