VEA Health is currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician (or experienced FM/IM physician with ER experience) to join our emergency medicine team at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas. We are currently hiring for both a Medical Director and full-time clinicians. VEA Health has been delivering high-quality, physician-led emergency care across Texas for over 20 years. We are a locally owned and operated group focused on empowering physicians with flexible schedules, strong clinical support, and a positive work environment. 🏥 Hospital Details: Facility: Val Verde Regional Medical Center Location: Del Rio, TX ED Volume: 25,500 visits/year Trauma Level: Level IV Shift Lengths: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night) Coverage: APP coverage EMR: Meditech Expanse 🔍 Position Highlights: Open roles: Medical Director and full-time clinicians Flexible scheduling: FT, PT, and PRN shifts available Competitive hourly compensation Malpractice insurance with tail provided Local autonomy with collaborative support from VEA’s leadership ✅ Candidate Requirements: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), or BC in Internal/Family Medicine with ER experience ATLS, ACLS (BC/EM not required), and PALS certification required Active Texas license or eligibility Prior Medical Director or leadership experience preferred for the Medical Director role
