We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physician - or a Family/Internal Medicine physician with emergency experience - to join a collaborative, physician-led emergency department in Pittsburg, KS. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care within a close-knit team that values teamwork and work-life balance. Practice highlights 16-bed Emergency Department with ~19,000 annual visits Team-based model: 6 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers Broad case mix serving a diverse patient population Strong multidisciplinary support including specialists, imaging, and ancillary services Culture of collegiality with physicians sharing shift coverage and regular monthly meetings (remote and in-person) to promote communication and engagement Schedule & work-life balance Flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM-6:00 PM and 6:00 PM-6:00 AM) Full-time expectation: 120 hours per month Focus on sustainable workloads and physician well-being Compensation & benefits $305-$325 per hour Up to $50,000 sign-on bonus and up to $25,000 retention bonus Competitive benefits package Visa support & onboarding J-1 visa candidates encouraged to apply In-house visa specialists and dedicated licensing/credentialing support to facilitate a smooth onboarding process Requirements MD or DO degree ABEM-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care (Family/Internal Medicine) with ED experience Eligible for or able to obtain unrestricted medical licensure in Kansas Strong clinical judgment, commitment to patient-centered emergency care, and excellent communication and teamwork skills If you’re looking for a supportive, team-oriented environment where you can practice high-quality emergency medicine and maintain a healthy work-life balance, we’d like to hear from you.
