Locum tenens opportunity in Wisconsin covering a community ED/urgent care. Initial coverage: November 25-27, 2026. Shift details: 12.5-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM. Additional locum shifts anticipated throughout 2027. Clinical environment ED/urgent care combined unit, average volume ~40-60 patients per 24 hours Supported by 2 advanced practice clinicians; physicians provide daytime through evening coverage General surgery and orthopedic support available Collaborative hospitalist team onsite Telestroke and Tele-ICU services UW helicopter onsite for transport/support Key points 12.5-hour day shifts Moderate patient volume with strong APC support Multiple specialty and telemedicine resources Located near Madison and Wisconsin Dells Ongoing locum opportunities expected in 2027 Ideal candidate Board-certified or eligible Emergency Medicine physician Comfortable practicing in a community ED/urgent care with APC collaboration and telemedicine/specialty backup EOE
