Join our team in Okeechobee, FL as a locum tenens Emergency Medicine physician providing high-quality acute care across a range of emergency department settings. This flexible role offers the chance to manage diverse emergencies, perform procedures, and collaborate with an experienced clinical team. Key responsibilities Evaluate and stabilize patients with acute medical, traumatic, and behavioral conditions. Perform thorough histories, physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic testing. Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication administration, minor procedures, and dispositions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff; document care accurately and promptly. Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and EM best practices. Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). Active Florida medical license. Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
